Introduction

Sober UI is a free, source-first React component library for Tailwind CSS and shadcn. It includes 72 interactive controls and 12 animated chart types. Install only the components you need, customize their appearance and behavior, and keep the source code in your project.

Getting started

1. Follow the installation guide to prepare your React project.
2. Browse the component catalog for live examples and component-specific installation commands.
3. Open Studio to edit props, chart palettes, and data, then copy the matching React source.

What is included?

Controls include buttons, text fields, selectors, gestures, overlays, and compositions such as Chat UI and Data Table. Charts include area, bar, pie, ring, gauge, heatmap, candlestick, funnel, sparkline, live line, composed, and profit/loss charts. Light and dark themes use neutral UI surfaces and independent chart palettes.

Source and licensing

The Sober UI repository contains the site, component sources, tests, and provenance records. Installable component recipes include their MIT notices. Chart primitives are adapted from Bklit UI, controls include Arc Free and Coss UI sources, and the local Studio is a separate implementation. Original copyright notices remain with the source.

There is no published Sober UI npm package. Components are installed from this site's shadcn-compatible registry or copied from the documentation. Studio runs locally in your browser; Chat UI is an interaction demo, not a messaging backend.
